WOWSERS!!! This was a BIGGIE! and intertwined with quite an adventure! but first the Details...
Sutton Council commissioned this work as part of a regeneration project. The project was designed by 11 students from Carshalton College, mentored by Architect Hugh McEwan, and once finalised it came to MJO Signwriting. Part way into the project I took on the responsibility of designing the title and names section in the peak and over the door, to match in seamlessly with the original illustration.
About 150 hours of painting, scattered over a few months went into the project. The formidable British weather played keep away with my precious daylight hours... and... part way through the work, a previously scheduled Engagement, that simply could not be moved, took me to the other side of the globe for a full months time. I came back to the project 30 days later a beaming new Husband, after a whirlwind visit to, and wedding in, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada!
Quite the Adventure!
